By including Americans United for Life Action as a beneficiary in your will, you help us to defend and protect life.
The language in your will can be as simple as “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to Americans United for Life Action (AULA) (Tax ID#26-2696809) of Arlington, VA, the sum of $_______________.” Or “I hereby give, devise, and bequest to Americans United for Life Action (AULA) (Tax ID#26-2696809) of Arlington, VA, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”
Because AULA is a non-profit charitable organization, your bequest is free of estate taxes.
You can also name AULA as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or your retirement plan (such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, or other pension plan). By naming AULA as a beneficiary, you maintain complete control over the plan while living, but at your passing the plan passes to AULA free of both income and estate taxes.
AULA can be named as a primary beneficiary for part or all of the assets in the plan, or as a contingent beneficiary, or as a beneficiary at the death of your surviving spouse. Please ask your insurance agent, your employer, or the financial institution managing your retirement plan for the proper forms.
Please consult with your attorney or personal financial advisor regarding the legal and tax benefits of all estate and planned gifts.
By making a planned gift in the form of cash, securities, real estate, or other assets, you will be investing in the continuation of AULA’s vital work to defend and protect life. If you choose to make this kind of gift, you will become a member of our Wilberforce Legacy Society.
By including Americans United for Life Action in your estate plans, you will honor AULA’s vision of a world in which everyone is welcomed in life and protected in law.
Please contact Megan Lott at (202) 741-4914 (or email email@example.com) if you have any questions!
Americans United for Life Action is a 501(c)(4) organization. Contributions are not tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please remember AULA in your estate plans.
